Well, 2008 is almost a memory...but
2009 is coming in with more of white light stuff to make it's home here in Summit County. A storm whitened Copper
and Summit County with 4-8 inches and morein the Southern mountains and reminded us that winter is here. Bump Busters has
also started to gear up for the season with the first clinic happening on Sat. 11/29/08, 10am at the Copper Mountain
Ski School Meeting Area, located in Center Village between the American Eagle and the Flyer Lifts. And will run every Saturday
and Sunday throughout the entire season until Sun. 04/12/09 . Hopefully everyone is getting in the gym, hiking,
running, biking, ( saw Lance from Slopewatch working out HARD at the Copper Gym! He'll be ready for this season)
whatever you need to do to get ready for another Colorado ski season, (check out the Pre-Season Workout Page).
2008. Something new for this year...Bump Buster is available for group of 5 or more on Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays
with a reservation of 3 days prior to desired date. With the old and a bunch of new added to the mix, along with new lesson
packages available including a 5 clinic punch card. This hardcore clinic will teach and open doors of not only bump
skiing, but give you the tools needed to rip the entire mountain, and go places you never thought you would or could. So head
over to the Bump Busters Program page and get signed up...and we'll see you on the hill!
Welcome to “Bump Busters
Mogul Clinic”
The first program of it's kind (Professional Ski Instructors of America, Cert. Level 1,2,3 combined with USSA/FIS
World Cup Competitive Mogul Concepts), offered to any skier that can ski a Blue groomed run in comfort. Perfect for Boomers,
Intermediates and advanced skiers looking to farther their skiing skills in skiing Bumps and the whole mountain.
Bump Busters gives the public new tools and techniques to ski with renewed confidence and passion. Allowing the instructors
a wonderful chance to take their passion of skiing to another level of coaching by working with your strengths, (Leon Littlebird's
"Strength Based Teaching") .
This clinic isn’t about just bump skiing
it’s about ripping the whole mountain, it’s
about having the tools to manage all terrain without the fear or intimidation, it’s about stopping, looking around,
taking in the unbelievable beauty and the soul and energy of the mountains. It’s an opportunity to better understand
yourself and your strengths to absolutely, positively, do whatever you want on the hill. Focus on skiing in the present, focus
on each turn, not the run.
Great turns create
an awesome run, tap into the energy you’ve shaped, now own it!
