Hi Stephen!

Mike and I wanted to thank you for a great weekend during our bumpbusters camp!

We thoroughly enjoyed it, and can’t wait for another weekend in the snow for us to keep practicing

Our new skills!

We hope to be back next year! Thanks for all your patience.

Thanks!

Marie LeRose

Thanks for providing us with your great ski program.  I've told many people that the techniques your program gave us were the best I have experienced in many years of taking lessons....even if a person did not want to "bust bumps".
Keep up the good work and winning spirit.  You're the best.

Hey Karpy

Your ears should have been burning last night. Lance and I waxed poetically about you for hours - consuming conversation at a locals party comprised mostly of slope watchers and other Copper employees. Thanks for giving us so much material for the dinner chat! I suspect you'll get a few more customers; your viral marketing campaign works.

I had such a fabulous time taking BB! I can not believe how much I learned in 5 hours. I went out skiing Friday figuring I had probably forgotten everything - stood up nice and centered; grabbed my Energy Package; and sang the mantra all the way down Little Burn with no stops (patience, pole, turn, finish- belly button and eyes downhill). Sweet. Then I went over to T-20. It was getting a little windy so some of those bumps were raw topped - who cares, I said. patience, pole, turn, finish, stand up - be in your core, belly button and eyes downhill. Pole- REACH. Awesome!

Thanks Karpy for changing my skiing and the way I look at skiing, the passion is back!

Brad Evans, Hello from Michigan,
I recently spent four great days skiing at Copper Mountain this month (Jan 18/19/20/21)

and wanted to pass along some appreciative comments.  I hope these comments can be
directed to the appropriate departments/supervisors.

Another activity which we enjoyed was the Nastar program, which we did on the 18th.
We signed up for the unlimited runs, doing some in the morning and then more after lunch.

The course had a great set up, and the instructor who set the pace gave us lots of tips
and advice.
The last thing I want to comment one was my favorite, Bumpbusters, which I participated in
on Saturday the 19th.  This group was lesson was sooo much fun and such a fantastic deal.

Karpy and Rob made it fast moving and fun.  They invited us to join them anytime, which we

did for a few runs on Sunday.  I learned a ton, and was absolutely blown away by the skiing

and demonstrations that I saw.  Despite the advanced level of the instructors, the tips, advice

and exercises were simple to understand and well presented.  The group atmosphere they create

made everyone feel comfortable, and the time flew by.  Easily one of the best lessons I've

ever been a part of.

Thanks for reading,

Brad

Took Bump Busters at the end of last year. It was awesome. Karpy, Rob and Stumpy changed the way I looked at skiing. Met a wonderful bunch of skiers in the clinic that I will ski with this year and return to a Bump Busters with, Loved it! Jenny

You rock! Great website and wonderful information. Continue success to your best, fun, caring person. I've taken clinics and belong to the Karpy fan club!

Dan Sparks
This clinic by far is the best thing to bump up your skiing abilities. I have taken it early each year for a full mountian tune up.

Mike Petrello
Karpy and Rob taught this Bump Busters clinic with an organized and intense delivery. These guys are passionate about making you ski better. More bang for the buck than any lesson you've ever taken ... guaranteed!

Karpy, just wanted to thank you and Rob for a great day on Sunday. I was slow starting out on the groomers but felt much more comfortable as the day went on. You really helped me begin to seperate my upper body and keep it quiet. I cut an inch of my poles which seems to have helped a lot too. Thanks again, I'm sure I'll be taking Bump Busters again either this spring or next year.

Mindblowing, thrilling new philosophy for training high performance skiing! The best and most challenging experience I've ever had in snow sports! Thank you...

Cari
Thank you for the great deal with Zeal Optics and the fantastic class. I learned so much (and have so much more to learn)that I gave my husband a bumpbusters clinic for Christmas and my son-in-law wants to take the class with him. You pack so much into one day it is impossible to take it all in. Look forward to taking Bump Busters again with my husband, Awesome time!

Heidi
Karpy - You ROCK!!!  You have changed my skiing.  I'm a new woman.  Not only do I now kick serious butt in the bumps, but I can rip it up all over the mountain.  Most importantly, I KICK SERIOUS BOY BUTT!!!!  And that really gets me grinning from ear to ear.  No, actually, it makes me giggle (out loud).  I'll keep coming back because I always improve my skills sets with one of your clinics.  Thank you VERY much!  Heidi

Thanks for the great lesson on Saturday. It was a great day for us and you are such a great teacher. You were right - we passed out at about 5:30pm and missed your instructor get together. Bruce did get shaped skis the next day. We tried bumps on Sunday and Kicked %$#@^*&*^%$%^. We will be back later in the month to take Bump Busters again, Thanks a bunch!

Harley Van De Wege
An excellent experience, should not be missed by anyone wanting to be a more comfortable bump skier!

Sno Jet Ski Club Of Colorado Springs
Just wanted to let you know how much club members enjoyed Bump Busters. You and your team rock! Never learned so much at one time in anything.

I took the Bump Busters clinic several weeks ago. I didn't do so well in it. Turns out my rental demo boots that Karpy and the other instructors told me they were to big in the heel and I couldn't control my skis well enough. Now I have bought boots and got them customized...It amazed me just how much that clinic has helped my overall skiing and my mogul skiing. Despite not doing well that day, I learned enough that I took away with me to significantly improve my skills. GLAD YOU OFFER THIS CLINIC!

Tim Fulton
Thank you so much to you and the other volunteer ski instructors for an awesome Bump Busters course on Sunday Jan 28th. I have never had a bump lesson or any ski lesson for that matter but I can not imagine it being much better than last Sunday. I have a lot of great pointers to keep in mind the next time I pound the moguls.

Thanks so much for Bump Busters yesterday. It took my skiing to a new level, and made bumps a hell of a lot more fun!

Lydia
Hi Karpy, I can't tell you how much I have learned from you this year and how much I appreciate you welcoming me back time after time. Every class has had its "best moments" but I have to think that what I like the most is how by the end of the day we all have made new friendships and bonds that have US encouraging and helping each other. I think everyone leaves with this incredible energy that you initiate and continue to generate throughout the day. Please tell your friend Eric how much I enjoyed being his partner on Sunday....I am learning to "growl" when I get pushed out of my comfort zone, instead of worrying about "what if's" Have fun in Jackson and see you soon!!! Thanks for the great clinic last Saturday. If your goal is to have the best1-day clinic in the country, I think you are well on your way! My wife, 2 of our friends, and I are from back East were in the clinic were really impressed with the energy and competence of you and your whole crew(we must have been pumped up--I won best line, and my friend won speed control in the Bump-Off).

I wanted you to know how much your BumpBusters class helped me out this ski season. I took the clinic in December and have skied 12 days since. The class has improved my form 1000% and enabled me to have my best season in 6 years, Thanks!

Stu
First, thank you for a great Bump Clinic last Sunday. I didn't expect to be in a class of instructors and I felt honored when you "invited" me to be in the zipper line group after lunch. I'm sure your judgement was confirmed when I skied so well in the Bump Off. You covered a lot of stuff. One of the few things I know is I need to keep my hands in front but I tend to relax. Your comments about "getting change out of your pockets" will be remembered. I did not know the importance of stance. The video was very useful. On Brennan's you shouted for me to look at you. Picking my head up and looking downhill at you helped. I think it made keeping the line easier. Tuesday, free skiing, I tried to look farther downhill and I think it improves my stance. "Finishing the turn" is something I don't do and now I understand it is the reason I pick up so much speed. Now that I know, I'm working on it. I also learned that skiing bumps is very different from downhill racing or skiing powder. As an all around recreational skier, I like all 3 and now that I understand some of the differences, I have some knowledge to change my style for the different types of skiing. I also trying not to shop but when I see a rock ahead, I shop so I don't buy the farm. More snow will help. Hopefully I'll join the class again with my 174 Rossi B2 instead of the old 186 Dynastars I used Sunday. I'm sure that will make a difference too. Besides the Slope Watch Team I worked with Monday, I've already told 4 others about Clinic. I get almost as excited as you when I talk about it. It was a pleasure watching you ski and I got a lot out of BumpBusters. Thanks again.

Karpy, just to say thanks very much for the bumpbusters class - it was great - best ever, with a number of great new insights. Anne, Jenny and I all thoroughly enjoyed it. We're now working on our technique - probably predictably, it's even harder when you're not there to help - I guess you're right that it will take a lot of practice. Nonetheless, there's a big take away that we now know what to work on. We'll be back to have another go at bumpbusters if we return to Copper and hopefully our starting point will be a bit higher! All the best for Christmas and the new year Trevor Crowter

Of the 28 things, I think that Jeff & I can remind each other of about 20 of them. I would highly suggest that everyone take your class with a friend, so that you can each take away different seeds and help one another. I know that due to your class, the rest of my vacation resulted in awesome bump skiing without any sore backs, knees, or burned out legs. The "Be The Water" techniques allowed me to ski almost 1 mile without stopping.

I am writing to tell you that last weekends bump clinic and the staff were amazing! I learned so much in such a short time! Thanks for all of the tips especially for being so learned. Maybe by next season I can challenge you to a bump off! Ha-Ha...What a joke! I would however like to attend more clinics nect season, see you then.

Simmone Caruthers
I had the delightful experience of taking a Bump Busters clinic with Karpy. I have taken a lot of training to help me learn to ski. This was, "The Best Ever"! His style is positive, the format is really great. I have been so uncomfortable & afraid in the bumps. Now I can ski little burn bump run with a smile. I would recommend it to any body at any age, male or female. See you next year Karpy!

I took the Bump Busters clinic today with Steve Karp, and I wanted to say that I really enjoyed the class and took a lot home with me. The clinic was well structured and the instructors were excellent - full of energy. They fostered a very strong team approach and I met some great classmates who gave me pointers, cheered me on and got me pumped to improved my bump skiing. The video analysis was a great way to learn what I do right and wrong. So, my kudos to Karpy and his team and to Copper for facilitating this clinic. Thank Karpy!

I took the Bump Busters clinic and had a wonderful experience, and improved my bump skiing. Karpy is an excellent and knowledgeable instructor and his team excelled. The approach was different and hard core to the point. The video taping enabled us to see our good and bad points. And the Bump Busters Packet is a wonderful review on techniques taught plus a bunch of other information. Thank You

Ruth Adams
Hey Karpy...wanted to thank you for the fantastic clinic, not only has it improved my mogul skiing, it has improved all my skiing. Thanks!

On Monday, I had a 3 hour ski lesson with steve Karp (Karpy). Steve did a phenomonil job of explaining, showing and critiqueing us. It was the most beneficial 3 hours of learning that I have had in my 39 years of life. I'll be back Karpy!

Kent Banks, Sno Jets Ski Club
Just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated the Bump Busters Clinic last weekend...changed my outlook on skiing. I will be recommended it to our 300 members of the club.

Due Credit.... Not to belittle the Ski Racing community...But it's nice to see the tides shift towards Mogul and Free Skiing and program like the wonderful "Bump Busters run by Stephen Karp, (former Pro Mogul Skier) and Copper Mountain Resort Ski & Ride School. A lot of amazing skiers have been missed over the years in the shadows of ski racing. Watching Gate crashers is wonderful from the chairlift? Then there's bump skiers, rockin bumps at unheard speeds and huge frightening inverted air. These are the rouge packs of head turning , efficiently skilled athletes, drilled on honing their sport. Dressed in attitude they alone have brought fame and new heros to the sport of skiing. Behind dark mirrored goggles without expression, the mogul specialists have baffled you from a far, and you've felt the power of their turns near. They've paid the price with daily ibuprefen injuries, and the criticism from those who take the easy path...DON"T YOU THINK IT'S OUR TIME!
